Aurora felt a damp substance underneath her as she slowly woke up. Her eyes staring right into a blade of moist grass. She jerked up suddenly scared of the situation at hand. "Mom?" she called out into the dark woods. She stood up and leaned against a tree to take in her suroundings. The trees were almost black, and had a bit of green moss attached to them. That was pretty normal for trees in the dark.. right? Everything seemed cold, and damp from dew. But what made the woods a slight scare fest was the fact that there was a fog sweeping its way around the forest.
Her feet started to feel, well gooey, and freezing, so she looked down and noticed she was wearing a hospital bed dress and no shoes what so ever, not even socks. Her teeth seemed to automatically start chattering at the sudden realization she was cold. Her blue eyes glanced up "Mother?" Where was her mother anyway? Shouldn't she be here? Shouldn't anyone be here? She took a few steps away from the tree, carefully deciding where she was going to step.
The young girl pushed her long golden curls in front of her neck to keep it warm like a scarf. She then crossed her arms and glanced around as she kept walking "Hello?! Anyone there?!" she called out in worried tones. For once she felt rather unsure of what to do or where to go. There was not a noise, not even from animals. Usually Aurora wouldn't be scared like this at all. But this was an odd situation, she was alone, and in a dark woods. She kept walking and calling out for anyone here and there. At one point she stopped and stood there trying to find any signs of a rode "Hello!? Anyo-" Something moved. Something made a motion "Hello?" she turned to face where the movement came from but then felt something wrap around her ancle. Then it tugged hard, pulling her to the ground and dragging her what seemed like a flat grass in the dark, but it was pulling her down a hill. She let out screams or terror and watched as brantches passed her quickly. She stuck out her hand in hopes of the possiblility that she will catch a branch. She felt something slam right into her hand, perhaps breaking it, but it felt good to have the chance to fight back. She clung onto the branch with both of her hands and started crying for help as it kept clinging and tugging.
She looked down the hill to see what the thing was tugging her too. It was a black river, well that is what it appeared to be in the dark. She got slightly commer knowing she was not in the water just yet, that she had a bit before she could give up. Maybe by then someone would come just maybe.

Ange shivered as he walked through the dark trees. He had been walking in this messed up place for how long again? 'Oh yeah....two days...'He thought to himself as he scanned the area. It had been two days and there was not a soul to be found. It made Ange wonder if he was the only person in the area. That gave his even more chills just thinking about it. And how would he get out? Was there even a way to leave this place?
The brunette thought all of these things when he first woke up in the darkened land. So, he had decided to just walk around attempting to find a way out. Unfortunately he was having no luck at all. It was like something was cutting him off from help. That really scared Ange.
His bare foot stepped into something. Ange winced, not really wanting to know what he stepped in. "Crap..."He muttered, shaking the strange substance off his foot. "I should have gone to sleep with my shoes on...."He murmmered. That was when a piercing sound just hit Ange's ears.
Screaming. Someone was screaming and to Ange it sounded like they were being killed or something. Out of instinct Ange ran over to the source of the sound. It took him a few minutes with all of the brances and trees everywhere. For a few seconds he thought he was going to be lost. Ange then eventually came upon a rather disturbing sight.
'WHAT THE FREAK IS THAT!?'He thought to himself. He looked seeing a young girl about his age being pulled into this river by something. Ange was not exactly sure what it was. The girl was desperately holding onto a branch.
'Well don't just stand there, dipwit! Do something!'A voice inside Ange's head screamed at him. Ange then snapped back into action as he just grabbed a large branch and slammed it down into the part of the river that was grabbing the girl. The substance then let go, immediately retreating into the water.

Aurora clung to the branch for a bit hoping someone would come before her fingers gave way. A single tear rolled down her cheeks as she felt it tug harder and try harder to get her. What is this thing? What does it want with her? That was all she could think as it kept tugging. But then she heard footsteps. She glanced around looking for where the footsteps where coming from "Help! Please!" she called in a slight tired and scared voice. She spotted a boy grabbing a large branch. And just when her fingers were not able to hold on for much longer he slammed the branch into the creature that held onto her to tightly. Her ancle was freed, and the thing seemed to scream of pain as it quickly went back into the water.
Aurora let go of the branch and slid down the rest of the hill on her back. She sat at the bottum and as a wave of stress hit her. Her eyes started to let out tears one after the other as she looked at her redden hand that had ht the branch. It was clearly not broken, but it was cut and slightly bleeding. Sitting on the ground she pulled her knees up to her chest and started bawling, hiding her face in her knees. She saw her life pass her by as the creature was tugging her. Everything seemed to have ended. But then her life was given to her as quickly as it was threatened.
She sniffled some and wiped her tears away with her hand and looked at the boy "Thank you.." her voice was shakey and was trying to get back in order from the tears. "I thought I was alone.... I thought I was going to die." She said the last words in low whisper. She didn't want to believe it if she could avoid it. She slowly stood up and then glanced around "Do you know where we are? I kind of woke up here... Did some sick freak do this to us?" She truly had no idea why she was here, or even that she was in a coma. She just knew she was there.

Ange breathed heavily as he watched the thing go back into the water. It scared him just thinking about what was hiding underneath the black, murky surface. It freaked him out even more just knowing that the water could probably kill if it wanted to. Now that he thought about it, Ange wondered if that thing would come back. And what else was hiding out in the desolate wasteland?
He turned his attention to the blond-haired girl who had almost lost her life. She appeared to be very shook up about what had just happened. But then again, who would not be? Ange felt bad that the poor girl had to even go through that. He briefly pondered on the idea of other people dying in that sort of manner. He shook the idea from his head, not wanting to think about it any longer.
"It's fine.."Ange told the young woman when she thanked him. "Not like I could leave you like that..."He spoke in a soft voice. He quickly glanced back at the river, then back to the girl. Who would probably being doing that often so he could make sure that thing would not return.
Ange shook his head. "I seriously have no clue..."He stated. "I woke up here too. I've been stranded here for about two days though. You're the first human I've seen in this ghost town."Said Ange. "If anyone did, then theye're pretty damn twisted."The teen spoke. "Not sure why anyone would want to though..."

Aurora watched hm look back at the lake, she knew he was seeing if it was coming back or not. She prayed that it wasn't coming back at all. Maybe he hit it hard enough that it was bleeding to death in the water. She looked at the river for awhile "It is pear black... I thought it was just black because of the dark." she whispered to herself. She then heard his soft voice break her thoughts and she turned to teenage boy. He was in the same boat as her. Not really knowing what to do, or what is going on. He had been here a day longer then herself, and still hasn't seen any sign of human life. "Perhaps we are the only ones here.." her voice was half directed to him and half directed to herself.
She heard him say that he wasn't sure why anyone would do this and all she could do was laugh a little "People are sick sometimes. We ask ourselves why anyone would rape a girl, or torture people they don't even know. Or just because of what they believe they kill them." There was a slight rippling in the water of the river and she glanced at it. There was a chance that it was still there from when the creature crawled back into the water. But she was certainly thinking it was coming back for revenge, or to get what it wanted to begin with "Have you seen any of these creatures before?" she asked still staring at the ripples "I think it is coming back..."
She backed up and then tripped on a twig and fell to the ground on her bum. The ripples slowed, and finally stopped. Can it hear her? Does it only come when unexpected? she stared at the water, waiting, just waiting for it to come out like a surprise. But it still didn't come out. The water was black and still. She looked back the boy "i guess... it was from when he went back in..."
She stayed on the ground not excactly feeling comfortable stading, as if something could see her more when she stood. "My name is Aurora, just arrived to this woods. Does it get to day time?"

Ange also looked at the lake. For the first time he realized how black it really was. It reminded him of a bottomless pit that would never end. When the female spoke of perhaps being the only ones in the strange, alternate-like world that made him nervous. "I honestly hope not...maybe everyone else is just....hiding..."He suggested. This place obviously was not safe and anything seemed to be possible, escept for escaping. He kept that opinion to himself though. Ange did not want to upset the girl anymore with his negative comments.
Ange shrugged. "Maybe.."He said. When the girl said she thought the creature was coming back, his head automatically whipped back to look over. He saw the ripples in the water, but they soon ceased. Ange let out a sigh of relief when it did stop. The boy did not want to mess with that thing ever again. If he could avoid it he most likely would depending on the situation. He shook his head when the girl asked if he had seen any other creatures though. "No...not really...I mean, there were a few times when I heard 'in-human' noises, but I usually tried to stay away from them. This is the first thing I've actually met."
The blue-eyed male looked down at Aurora. "Nice to meet ya, you can just call me Ange."He told her. Ange then though, recalling the past while he had been trapped in the world. "Not really, the sun never shines at all. The days are usually very dull, dark, and cloudy. Not too mention there's always a chill in the air..."He said, glancing around the various trees.

Aurora smiled "Nice to meet you Ange." This was the most comforting thing she has felt since she stumbled here. She wasn't alone. She didn't want to be alone, she hated the dark, she hated not being able to really see what was going on. Just hear. She stood up and glanced around "I think we should keep moving. We do not want to run into that thing again do we?" She just started walking not really knowing where to go "We should try to find some way out of the woods. Maybe there are other places in this place, and perhaps people." Another place might mean shelter... people... or something that could help them get out. She wrapped her arms around herself to keep warm.
Aurora walked slowly, taking tender steps to watch what she was doing. "What I do not understand is why I am wearing a hospital bed dress. I haven't been to an hospital...Or at least not that I can remember." She stopped to look back and to see if Ange was following her. "Mind if we stick together? Being alone is the last thing I want here." A sudden panic hit her and made her stomach turn. What if he didn't want to stay with her? What if he wanted to travel on his own and find his own way out? He couldn't just leave her could he?
Aurora shook her head free from the thoughts. If she had to, she could take care of herself. Well... thinking about the monster thing getting her, she didn't do much but cling to a branch. Her blue eyes glanced away and to what she was heading to. More fog. The fog seemed to get thicker and dance around the dark trees. "How is there trees if there is no sun? Shouldn't they be dead?" She stared at the trees, they were blackish and slightly rotting. Maybe they were dead, it was just heard to see it.

He nodded. It may take a while, but Ange would be willing to go look for anyone else lingering in the foreign place. "Sure, that does sound good."He said. Ange glanced around the woods, realizing he could not remember which direction he had come from. 'Aw...damn...'He bitterly thought to himself. He had paniced when he heard the shouting and therefore not payed attention when he ran. Ange had only been focused on following the screams of Aurora. 'I really need to be more observant...'He thought to himself.
Ange pondered over what Aurora said about waking up in a hospital dress. He found that odd, especially since she had not gone to sleep in one. 'She says she does not remember going to one...but then...'Ange mentally trailed off. This was so confusing. He thought for a few more seconds when one theory just hit him. Ange realized it seemed insane, but it just may have been what was going on...
Ange nodded. "I don't like being alone either, so sticking together is perfectly fine with me."He said to Aurora. Ange was glad he now had a buddy to travel with. He had always had a fear of the dark, ever since he was a small kid. This darker place just brought back those memories of when he would hide under the covers. 'If I can't see them, they can't see me' is what he thought as a child.
The brunette shrugged. "No idea. They should...but nothing in the place really makes any sense to me..."He said. He looked at Aurora as he followed her. "I'm not even sure if I want to understand this place..."

Aurora nodded as she listened to him talk "I don't think I would want to either. There might be information that I wouldn't need or really want to know about, something dreadful." She turned a bit and started climbing back up the hill that the creature had pulled her down from "We should stay up here... but follow the river. There might be a a small village or something that has people." She was thinking back to her history classes in hope the class would help her now. She grabbed onto roots and pulled herself up a top the hill and glanced around. Still, just black with fog. The place seemed so eary to her. She wanted to just find a city or something that seemed a bit less hounted.
Aurora crossed her arms and turned her head to Ange "We could find a cave and possibly sleep awhile... or something. Get our rest. I want to say sleep till morning but the sun doesn't peek out of the trees here does it?" She turned away and watched the trees sway just slightly to a small breeze. Her skin started to get goose bumps so she shivered and shook her body just slightly "Sorry..." she muttered "Got the shiver for a second." She continued walking feeling that Ange was next to her or at least by her somewhere. "I want to find a city... even if it is deserted this place gives me the creeps, and has odd creatures."
If there was the thing in the river what else could be here? She shook her head free from the thought. She wanted to think happy thoughts that didn't involve death and strange creatures taking her somewhere unknown. What if that creature had gotten her in the water? Would there have been more? Or just the one? Would she have drowned in panic or die a slow death to the creatures jaws? She jumped again hearing a stick crack "What was that?" she said quickly.
